With 150 animals including large mammals and birds of prey, the Chahinkapa Zoo serves primarily as an educational center about nature and wildlife. The Rodger Ehnstrom Nature Center plays a variety of wildlife videos throughout the day and contains a rock exhibit, and the zoo hosts classes for children such as zoo keeping lessons and nature-based art projects. It is part of Chahinkapa Park in Wapheton, residing just south of the Bois de Sioux Country Club.
